The Bull Hotel is situated in the main high street of Halstead at the northern 
most tip of Essex, very close to the borders of Suffolk. Halstead is a quaint old market town steeped with history and The Hotel itself oozes olde world charm and overlooks the river Colne. The Bull Hotel is over 500 years old with many original features dating as far back as 1398 including the original giant fireplace, individual character bedrooms and an abundance of ornate solid oak beams throughout.

Evening Functions
The Bull Hotel boasts two inter-connecting Function Suites fully licensed and able to accommodate the following number:-
- 30 guests seated & 50 guests standing in the Garden Room plus
- 60 guests seated & 100 guests standing in the River Room
giving a total capacity of 90 guests seated & 150 guests standing when combined for any function. There is a fully serviced private bar in the Garden Room which services both suites.
Gardens
The Bull Hotel enjoys the benefit of a delightful and substantial mature Victorian Walled Garden, which is accessed via the patio doors in the Garden Suite. The garden boasts over 15 garden benches with umbrellas that are a welcome addition to any party in the warmer months offering extra ‘al fresco’ seating capacity for over 90 guests.
